Back in the 1950′s if someone were asked to define a “ Television” , they would say that it is a medium for transmitting and receiving moving images accompanied with or without sound. But nowadays the story is not the same. With the developments in science, today TV’s are capable of running way more than just displaying moving images. They are efficient, faster, stylish and in short “Smart”. So here is a list of the best Smart Televisions in the market as of now.

1. Samsung UE46F8000

Samsung’s latest series of 55”8000 series model have set a benchmark in the field of LED display TV’s in the market. The UE46F8000 is a 46 inch state-of-the-art device that has jaw-dropping features, marvelous picture quality and cutting edge design that makes it really worth the money.

Audio:

The Audio in the TV is simply superb due to its amazing speaker system with subwoofers that provide extra bass. Adding a 5.1 or 7.1 dedicated speaker system would give you a mind-blowing cinema experience.

Picture Quality:

If you have to buy this one for anything that would be for its superior picture quality. It produces picture quality that is very close to that of plasma screens, but with the benefit of a much brighter display, best for daytime viewing. It comprises of a “Game mode” option that enables the users to have a gaming experience by connecting to a PS 3 or Xbox.  The screen produces excellent contrast ratios, with very bright colors that are pleasing to the eye. Both the 2D and 3D picture quality are commendable.

2. Sony KDL-55NX720

I can just say one word for this model brought out by Sony and that is “Gorgeous”. The monolithic design and its corning gorilla glass makes it one of a kind. The NX720′s design is analogous to the previous XBR model released by Sony.

Audio Quality:

The sound and audio quality are good. And the great thing is that NX720 delivers 5.1 channel audio output. Sony delivers 5.1 channel output through Optical Audio output as compared to the 2 channel output in the TV’s of the competitors.

Picture Quality:

The NX720 offers extraordinarily deep blacks and admirable contrast. Color hue and saturation are terrific, motion looked natural with minimal blur, artifacts and shudder. The 3D imaging is brilliant and sophisticated. The NX720 is such a remarkable television that we think it will be the better choice for many buyers. It’s easier to set up, it’s local dimming does a terrific job, it’s slimmer, looks fantastic and, best of all, it’s less expensive.

3. LG 42LW650T

LG’s 42LW650T is one of LG’s best creations as of yet. The 42LW650T packs in some grander features such as internet and media streaming features. It is thin, elegant and an innovative menu option makes it to stand out alone in the crowd.

Audio:

Usually super-slim LED’s have a lower sound quality because of their small speakers. But the 42LW650T is a surprise in that department. The inclusion of clear voice II system boosts the mid-range audio frequencies to make the audio sound pretty decent.

Picture Quality:

LG unlike others uses the 3D passive technology that reduces the cost of the glasses and also reduces the flicker produced by the active sets. There is very little image doubling or crosstalk as known. The 42 incher provides engrossing 3D images without costing you a fortune in the glasses.

Now on the other hand the 2D picture quality is more competent as compared to the 3D one. The LED backlighting and dimming feature helps the TV to flaunt its incredibly vivid pictures and right levels of sharpness.

4. Panasonic Viera TX-L42E6B

Now if you are engrossed only in the features and design of a TV rather than the 3D imaging then I would strongly recommend the 42 inch TX-L42E6B. Now Panasonic has come back strongly and added features as in customization of the home screens, backlight and contrast settings.

Audio Quality:

After reviewing it extensively, I have concluded that the audio is pretty average. The speakers aren’t that impressive as compared to those of Samsung or Sony, but on the brighter side, as compared to the previous models, the dialogues and clarity is better. The speech isn’t disturbed because of the pseudo surround mode feature that maximizes the sound.

Picture Quality:

The Picture quality is very good and more than adequate. The main enchanting features in this model is the sharpness that you get while viewing pictures or images on the screen. It has unique, deep black levels and consistency across the display. The contrast performance is also spectacular. To sum it up, it is a really great buy and is worth it.

5. LG 55LM760T

One model that I would say that has good apps and an excellent 3d performance is the 55 incher LM760T released by LG. Even the home screen is really artistic and innovative. But the backlight pooling on the corners is a bit of a letdown. And the black levels could be slightly deeper. The most notable thing about the design is just how small the bezel around the screen is.

Audio Quality:

Now this time LG has paid a little bit more attention to the audio and sound quality. The clarity is crisp and is pleasing to the ears. As compared to the previous models, LG has definitely improved the audio system and has brought some changes in the design and structure of the speakers, thereby improving the overall sound and music quality.

Picture Quality:

In this model LG gives the users control over the images. The screen quality is very bright and vibrant no doubt, but even the colors are warm and mesmerizing after some tweaking is done. Well that was for the 2D imaging. Now in the case for 3D, LG have done their homework very well. They have introduced lots of features that improve the gaming experience of the TV. The gaming glasses are very comfortable and light to wear. There are some problems in this model though. The presence of some jagged edges and line structure can be found. But other than that the 3D imaging is very impressive. Though on the costly side, it is really a good television.
